Comprehensive log analysis software

PRIME is a PC-based software tool for a well log analysis, reservoir characterization, log data editing and display in multi-well, multi-zone projects.

The long history of development of software meeting users' needs has led to creation of powerful, flexible and, at the same time, easy-to-use tool.

It was designed by petrophysics and fits needs of both the expert and casual user.


Some features of the PRIME software:

  • Friendly, interactive and flexible graphic interface.
    Usage of the interactive log view while processing data provides comfortable and natural environment for a well log analyst and facilitates control over the quality of processing at each stage. Multiple document interface allows multiple wells and multiple applications to be on the Prime desktop at the same time. Extensive use of multiple selection, drag-and-drop, copy-and-paste techniques. Many features provide customization, e.g. interface colors, default properties, menus, tool bars, fillers, curve types are fully customizable. You can view any logplot in meters as well as in feet. Many powerful interactive and automated editing functions provide real-time results alongside the original data.
  • Modular structure.
    It makes creation of a work package easy no matter how complicated it is and which purpose it is created for. There is no need  to buy all the modules at a time and for each work package.
  • Integration.
    Collection, analysis and processing of well logging data at all stages of a well life (drilling, cementing and production) is what PRIME good at. Joint processing of log, core and geological data makes analysis of data more reliable and effective.
  • Wide choice of presentation objects, methods and modes.
    PRIME supports a lot of features for presentation of information, including simple curves, bedded curves, 2D-curves, bedded columns, core columns, different tracks, notes, pictures, wellbore construction and technical condition primitives,  fillers and more. Data can be displayed in logplots, cross-plots, histograms, matrix plots, and more.
  • Support of many formats.
    PRIME supports import and export of ASCII, LAS, LBS, LIS, SEG-D, SEG-Y and lots of other (primarily Russian) formats. The software is rich in import and export customizing capabilities aimed at supporting many different dialects and not-fully-standard formats. It handles many graphic formats and devices for plotting: BMP, EMF/WMF, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, HP-GL/2 and more.
  • Versatile well data base.
    The data base handles all log data, log views, formation tops, deviated survey, core and other well information. It provides single- and multi-well manipulations, indispensable versatility and flexibility while importing and exporting data as well as creation of various data processing techniques. Number of fields, wells, content of well data is practically unlimited. It supports various data models.
  • Open programming interface.
    PRIME environment is universal to facilitate development of new log analysis applications. The system is open for extension and development within DLL, COM. Data and graphic interface servers provide designers with some 1,000 versatile and ready-to-use functions. The PRIME internal language allows users to develop the system's abilities on their own meeting specific conditions. It provides creation and handling of a ready made data processing flow by a user himself. Built-in System Solver for solving of non-linear constrained equation systems can be used to accommodate any petrophysical model, either provided by PRIME, or fully user-specified.
  • Designed for multi-well technologies.
    Multi-well import/export, formation correlation, summation, curve statistics, cross plots and histograms facilitate batch input and output as well as processing of data. It also helps to control quality of preliminary and resulting data.
  • First-line support and training.
    The PRIME designers pay tireless attention to training and retraining of users. More than 15 training courses are held annually resulting in graduation of over 200 professionals.
